Im currrently at kafue gorge in Zambia which produces a large proportion of Zambias electricity.The landscape is more or less that of pakistan, extremelly invaginated or hilly.In times of above normal rainfall, the kafue gorge must release large amounts of water to easen the pressure on the dam.
The invaginations are vegetated and become submerged by water during january- february. the vegetation therefore must produce methane whilst submerged and carbondioxide when the water completely receedes leaving large associated land masses dry.
Given the amount of water released to the land mass and the vegetation type how would one estimate the amount of methane and carbondioxide emissions
